Abstract

WP7 can leverage existing Silverlight development skills. The demo will cover some these areas:

  1. How to expose SQL Server data via a WCF Service
  2. How to use the ADO.NET Entity framework to simplify development efforts when exposing relational data
  3. How to leverage the cloud to host relational data
  4. How to migrate on-premise data to SQL Azure (cloud-based SQL Server) and consume it from Silverlight (WP7 and traditional IE-hosted Silverlight)
  5. How to use formatters and converters in Silverlight to make your data look the way you want
